1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Cantari, a text-to-speech and voice generation service. By creating an account, using the service, or purchasing a plan, you agree to these Terms.
If you use Cantari on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and references to "you" include that organization.
2. The service
Cantari lets users generate expressive, human-like speech from text, choose voices and languages, provide style instructions, and download generated audio. The service may include free and paid plans with monthly character allowances, generation limits, rate limits, and concurrency limits.
We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as we develop the product, including models, voices, limits, pricing, and features. We will try to provide reasonable notice when a material change negatively affects paid users.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account. Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You must provide accurate account information and may not create accounts using false information, impersonate another person, or use the service if you are legally prohibited from doing so.
4. Plans, billing, and usage limits
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly basis unless otherwise stated at checkout. Character allowances and other limits reset each month. Unused characters do not roll over unless we expressly say otherwise.
You can cancel or change plans according to the options available in your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
We may enforce quota, rate, concurrency, and abuse-prevention limits to keep the service reliable for all users.
5. Your content and generated audio
You retain ownership of text, prompts, style instructions, voice inputs, files, and other materials you submit to Cantari. As between you and Cantari, you also own the generated audio outputs to the extent permitted by applicable law and these Terms.
You grant Cantari a limited license to host, process, transmit, store, reproduce, and display your content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
Paid plans include commercial usage rights for generated audio, subject to these Terms and applicable law. The Free plan is intended for evaluation and personal testing unless a plan page or separate agreement says otherwise.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Cantari, generated audio, or any service output to:
- Violate any law, regulation, third-party right, or platform policy.
- Generate deceptive impersonations, unauthorized voice clones, fraud, scams, phishing, or misleading political or commercial content.
- Harass, threaten, defame, exploit, or abuse another person or group.
- Create sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate content, or content that promotes violence or self-harm.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to Cantari or related systems.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to Cantari in a way that competes with the service unless we have agreed in writing.
7. Voice rights and permissions
If you upload or provide any voice, recording, likeness, script, or other material, you must have all rights, licenses, consents, and permissions necessary to use it with Cantari and to generate and use the resulting audio.
You are responsible for clearly disclosing synthetic or AI-generated audio when required by law, platform rules, or the context in which you publish or distribute it.
8. Third-party services
Cantari may rely on third-party providers for authentication, storage, payments, hosting, analytics, email, and model inference. Your use of those integrated services may be subject to their terms and privacy practices.
We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control, but we choose providers with the goal of operating Cantari securely and reliably.
9. Service availability and beta features
Cantari is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that every output will meet your expectations.
Some features may be experimental, in beta, or subject to changing quality, availability, and limits.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cantari disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cantari will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Cantari for the service in the three months before the claim arose, or $100 if you have not paid us.
11. Termination
You may stop using Cantari at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for Cantari or others, failed to pay fees, or used the service unlawfully or abusively.
After termination, some provisions will continue to apply, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and any provisions that by their nature should survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Cantari evolves. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating this page, showing an in-product notice, or sending an email. Continued use of Cantari after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the support or contact channel made available in the Cantari app or website.
